David C. Minc joined A. Schulman in May, 2008 and was elected Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for A Schulman, Inc., in July, 2008.  

Previously, Mr. Minc served as General Counsel and Secretary for Flexsys America, L.P., where he was the core member of the legal team guiding operations in North & South America and Asia.  He brings over 35 years of professional experience, having served in senior legal positions with BFGoodrich and Michelin, and as a Partner with Roetzel & Andress Law Firm. David provides expertise acquired through acquisitions and divestment activity, commercial transactions and litigation.  He also brings global experience in the areas of antitrust law, financing, management of intellectual property, trade regulation and environmental law.  He is active in professional and community organizations, having served as an Adjunct Professor of Competition Law at the University of Akron School of Law, as a committee chair for American Bar Association committees, and as a producer and moderator for a Northeast Ohio TV and radio program, “Civic Forum of the Air.”

David Minc was born in New York City.   David graduated Cum Laude, with Honors, with a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences from the New College of Hofstra University in 1968.  He earned his Juris Doctor degree with a Specialization in International Affairs and Masters in Public Administration from Cornell University in 1972.  

Mr. Minc currently resides in Akron, Ohio with his wife, Janet.  They have 2 grown children.
